Our standard tall metal filing cabinets are designed for A4 files. Some of our filers also fit the slightly larger foolscap size, please check the product details at the bottom of each page to ensure the drawers are large enough for your filing needs.

Most filing cabinets are made of metal due to their ability to hold lots of heavy files and impressive longevity. We particularly recommend high-grade steel – a material we’ve been the experts on for over 90 years – as it is the strongest and most durable.
Wooden filing cabinets can be less easy to maintain as they are susceptible to moisture damage and often have less storage capacity than metal filing cabinets due to bulkier wooden structures.
We recommend that you clean your large office file cabinet once a year. After removing dust particles with a damp cloth or hoover, clean your metal filing cabinet with warm water and a mild detergent solution.
